    New Z06 prices?

There has been much publicity about the new GM price reductions including a full spread in the Wall Street Journal over two pages which featured a yellow Z06. Does anyone know what the new suggested list price is for the various Corvette models, especially the Z06?

    Re: New Z06 prices?

Posted by Kerbeck's on the CF:

Under the new GM pricing, the base price on Corvettes have dropped. The new prices are:

    2006 Corvette Coupe $43,690 (down $500)
    2006 Corvette Concertible $51,390 (down $500)
    2006 Corvette Z06 $64,590 (down $110)

This MSRP will be reflected on all cars built from today (1/11/05) on.

Anyone who purchases a car out of dealer stock or had their car built before today will have the old price on their Window Sticker but will still get the new price.

If you purchase a car out of stock that was built before the Nov 18th price increae, you won't see a full $500 savings, but you will have the new base price. As of now, there is no change to any of the option prices.

Silly, but then who would expect them to drop Corvette prices very much?

Seems like dropping the base Corvette by a couple grand or so could entice some new buyers.

Z06 purchasers are already set. It would take a pretty dramatic price cut to bring new buyers on board, so not worth it. The $110 is just so they can say they cut prices on all Chevy models.

Find small dealership with allocation-they'll deal

If you can find a small dealership with an allocation that isn't already spoken for, I bet you can get a better deal.

I got $3,301 off my 2001 coupe because the dealership wanted to maintain their future allocations.
