How is the best way to replace a clutch on a 67 big block? Remove the trans. and then the bellhousing,or remove both togeather? Any tricks? I know there is a limited amount of space down there.

There's no way that I know of to remove the bellhousing and transmission as an assembly. In a Corvette, as well as most other cars, I'd say it would be an impossibility. Anyway, you need to remove the shift linkage, drive shaft, transmission, clutch linkage, bellhousing, and pressure plate/friction disc.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

you ain't never worked on a Ford then. I dont rember what year car it was but I have seen a Ford that the transmission was bolted from the inside of the bell housing! I kid you not, a lot of this is done to stop the shade trees in the day.- Top

The only way is to remove the driveline, linkage, transmission and bell housing, this will give you the opportunity work on or maintain the the drive train, and detail the parts.- Top
