    67 oil line

I am replacing my oil line from the dash. I bought the kit but there wasn't any ferrule on the guage side of the line. How does it compress without leaking. It is not flared either.

    Mornin' Al,

If you have the factory correct parts, no ferral is needed at the gauge connection. The fitting that goes into the back of the gauge will compress on and seal to the oil line as you tighten it into the back or the gauge. Don't over tighten it, it is easy to strip the threads from the fitting or the gauge. Bill
