Re: Corvette Summer
When released here (Tacoma,Wa.), the local drive-in theater (remember those) let everyone in a Corvette for free. The place was packed full of Corvettes. Everyone was outside of their cars B.S.ing cause the movie kinda stunk.- Top

Re: Corvette Summer - Not that is Stingray
You'll find it on
It starred Chris Mitchum and some others. The most exciting was Sondra Theodore who was Playboy Playmate of the Month July 1977. She was hitchhiking along 143 near the road to SIU. I remember saying I drove that road everyday and never saw anyone like her hitchhiking.
It was not that great, but a great home movies for those of us around there. Lots of flaws, like going the wrong way on a one way street near the courthouse, going around the block by Burmeister's Paint in Edwardsville and then being on a street in Alton. Little minor details only people who lived there would know, but then, all movies are like that.
They were filming one night in Edwardsville at the tavern on the north side of town just after you got in there on 143. Several of us were going to a party at a sorority house and cruised by with a new Z28, a '61 Corvette, my '68, and a couple of other Corvettes. They turned the lights on us and filmed us as we went by, but obviously, we never made it in the film.
