Light Beige by NCRS, but in 55 Desperate to sell the remaining 55's I think they would do most any thing if the customer asked for it. 55's were left over 54's.
The reason I'm asking is that at the Barret Jackson auction at Corvettes at CArlisle there was a Gypsy Red 55 with a solid, darker brown interior, now I see on thier list for scottsdale a 55 Gypsy Red with the dark brown interior.
It's supposed to be totally restored. But, if it's the one from Carlisle it's not a "restored" car. The rearend is incorrect as are the rear shocks and I wonder about the interior.
The interior looked original to the car.
I have a 55 with a darker beige interior. The seats had a 1954 tag under the seat but I am advised that this was normal. I do not know if it is original or not as I do not know the car history. Nolan's book does not credit the 55 with darker beige interiors. When I asked Jack Reeves ( who was very knowledgeable about this year as well) about the originality or the dark beige he also said "who knows--probably no one for sure."
