55 interiors

This is probably a long shot.
The reason I'm asking is that at the Barret Jackson auction at Corvettes at CArlisle there was a Gypsy Red 55 with a solid, darker brown interior, now I see on thier list for scottsdale a 55 Gypsy Red with the dark brown interior.
It's supposed to be totally restored. But, if it's the one from Carlisle it's not a "restored" car. The rearend is incorrect as are the rear shocks and I wonder about the interior.
The interior looked original to the car.

Re: 55 interiors
Dennis--
I have a 55 with a darker beige interior. The seats had a 1954 tag under the seat but I am advised that this was normal. I do not know if it is original or not as I do not know the car history. Nolan's book does not credit the 55 with darker beige interiors. When I asked Jack Reeves ( who was very knowledgeable about this year as well) about the originality or the dark beige he also said "who knows--probably no one for sure."- Top
