I have an April 67 327/300 car. During recent Flight judging, I got a deduction because the steel brackets to which the ignition shields attach do not have an "FMC" manufacturer's logo. The brackets in question are the ones that are retained by exhaust manifold bolts, and receive the wing nuts that hold the ignition shields over the spark plug areas.
The brackets on my car are indeed reproductions from Paragon, and they only have a discreet Paragon logo in an area that is hard to see. However, I can find no evidence of a manufacturer's logo on the old, rusty brackets that I took off the car. I do not know if the old brackets are original, but they had clearly been on the car for a long time.
So, should the brackets have an "FMC" or other logo, and if so, does anyone make a correct reproduction?
