C2 power steering hoses

63 convertible. Below is a picture of the hoses to connect the pump to valve. The low pressure hose is about 17" and the high presure hose is about 21". They look too long for the application. This is an add on kit that I purchased, and everyything else in the kit fits well. If connected the hoses will have large loops in them. If these look like the right hoses, could someone please give me some comments about their placement?

look correct. Check factory manual for a pic. There is a cris-cross attachment that is easier to understand with a pic.

In the assembly manual the drawing shows the connections at the valve and at the pump, but not the configuration of the hoses in between. The maintenance manual does not show it either.

If anyone has a picture, please post it.

Steve, check Dr. Rebuild's new catalog, Volume 30. The picture on page 153 will give you an idea. Also, look at part 6670555 (Hose Retainer). This part forces the hoses from the pump to be in a certain configuration.
