    C2:67 Perfect on Operations now

With the clock resto, horn button repair, and that "blinkin" 257 bulb, I'm now perfect on Operations from my score sheets.

Thanks to all for the advice. The horn button was an easy fix, all it took was a good cleaning of the contact surfaces.

Wish to report that I successfully changed that blinkin 257 (headlight warning) bulb in 5 minutes and without taking anything apart. You just need to lay on your back in a contorted position, and get both hands behind the instrument panel. After a few choice expletives, and a little straining to get the bulb at the top, I did a one hand bulb removable. Now getting it back in took both hands. It was really a snap though I scratched the arm up a bit.

Figured I gained almost 1% on operations, and with other correction items, I'm up 2% on 88% so far.

And having great fun doing it.

    Jerry,

Congrats on getting your Ops performance to the 100% level. As for changing the bulb at the top of the cluster and the scrapes on your hands, you now have what is known as "Dash Rash"!!! It will heal quickly.

    Best Regards,

    James West

      Jerry,

Never can remember, which of the two warning lights in 67 did not flash, the brake or headlight? I only remember that both were supposed to flash for 63-66 but only one for 67.

        Micheal,

On a 67, the headlight warning switch flashes (257 bulb) and the brake light is steady on.

The brake warning bulb was changed in '67 from flashing ('63-'66) to solid to differentiate it from the headlight warning, as it picked up a dual function in '67 (parking brake left on AND partial brake system failure); prior to '67, it only meant that the parking brake wasn't fully released.
