C2 '67 vent window aft sealer strip

Can the vertical (aft) weather strip from a '67 vent window be removed cleanly, and used again upon re-install? [I need to get this out to access the rivets that hold in the vertical felt window channel.]

I hope there are 'lessons learned' out there.

Tom,

I replaced those channels some years ago and the felt is actually adhered to a metal channel insert. You need to locate and drill out the rivets and the metal channel and felt comes out as a unit. I see no reason why it couldn't be installed again. I put in new ones only because the felt in my originals was worn out. The rivets that were supplied with the new units were not the correct size so I used pop rivets.

Forgot to add that I don't recall removing any of the rubber vent window seal to change out the felt seals.
