The rear tail lights work just fine but the front parking lights do not work at all. I know that the parking lights, on a 63, will not work when the headlights are on but mine won't work with the headlights on or off! Is there a seperate ground for the front parking lights? Thanks for any help you can give.

The front park light filaments are fed directly from the headlight switch via a 20-ga. violet wire that passes through the outboard multiple connector on the engine side of the fuse block; check for power at that terminal on the headlight switch and work forward from there to find out where the circuit is open. If the front turn signals are working, the ground is OK. All the front lamps (and the headlight motors) share a common ground at the radiator support.- Top

Re: C2 Parking lights will not work! Any Ideas?
Bob, I just solved this very problem on my 66. After checking out the purple wire from stem to stern, and finding no problem, I ordered a new switch. While in the process of changing out the switch, I noticed the tab in the old switch housing did not line up with the purple wire in the plug. However, it lined up just fine on the new switch. Seems like the old one was incorrect for my car. And yes, the front parking lights go out when the headlights are on....... Bill- Top
