    Rob Musquetier- What's the math?

    Rob,

In the C2 registry (c2registry.org) you have the options for each car listed and the percent sold for each option. On the bottom of the list of options is a total, and there is a total percent in the column under %sold.

Does that total %sold represent the total number of vehicles in that year that were sold with the package of options. What's the math behind the total %sold, is it just a multiplication of the percents of each option in the column above?

Would that truly represent the percent of cars sold with that package of options?

The percentage calculated is a multiplication of all the selected options, excl. colors selected.

      1 of a Kind 67 = less than 1/22940%

      Rob,

I see the math logic. If you have a total percent sold of less than 1/22940 or .004359% (.00004395 product of the multiplication in decimal), then you would have a one of a kind 67, just based upon the package of options.

Although my 67 is 1 in 424, there are many on the C2registry, and out there, which are 1 in 1, and many which beat the 1 in 12 claim.

Isn't that interesting. Kevin, the math on your 67 makes it 1 in 1.

Your car has apercentage sold of 2.9311% which calculates to 672 cars.

That is not really abnormal I would recon...

Funny, I come up with 1.8447%

using my preschool math on a calculator But no big deal.

                  Roy's 67 is a 1 of 1, regardless of the BB hood.

                  Thanks.
