I am looking for someone would can do Black phosphate coating and zinc chromate coating for some parts. Any suggestions would be great.

What do you need done?
And are you sure (just checking) you want black phosphate (not black oxide)?
By zinc chromate, do you mean the gold color?

Hello Patrick. Hope all is well.

I am looking to get the brake shields and the front brake caliper mounts recaoted in Zinc chromate. This is the goldish color.

I am looking to get the rear deck drain covers, the ones in the rear wheel wells, the sheilds on the fire wall in the "foot area", hood latches, perhaps one or two othes things, recaoted in black phosphate. Now it realy may be Black oxide and I am just wrong in my naming.

I realy don't need them located in the Detroit area but it would be a nice benifit.

I've had him do many items, and the quality is superb.

You ever think about doing the black phosphate yourself? It's not difficult at all.

I am trying to do as much as possible myself so I would love to do the Black phospate. There seems to be lots of little items that need this coating. Where can I get the instructions and materials?

J&L Plating in Hazel Park, (313) 564-6143, does excellent zinc and zinc/cad dichromate plating; don't know if they do phosphating.
