That's a good idea. Thanks Clem. The amp is really in a bad spot on a 66 because much of the water that runs off the front of the hood drops right down on the amp and that sure can't be good for the ground connection. I installed this amp about 20 years ago and I knew it was getting close to the end of the trail for it. I should have made some kind of shield years ago. The one before that was corroded inside and I suspect this one is the same.
I did the GM "quick test" with a test light and it brought me right to "replace amplifier".
