    wittek sockets/wrenches

Anyone heard of wittek sockets or wrenches? A local restorer says they are used for old MGs, etc. He's looking for a source. Thanks in advance.

Don't really know. A third party asked me about this. If Whitworth is the brand, who's the source? Should I just Google Whitworth tools?

              Re: Do you mean "Whitworth"?

"Whitworth" is a fastener/tool standard that is common on old English bikes and cars. Try googling "whitworth tools".

I've still got my set of Whitworth tools that I once used on my Sunbeam Tiger and Norton Commando and my buddies Triumph Trident.

Don't have a lot of Whitworth tools but I still have my 69 Triumph 650, BSA Rocket III 750, and my 79 Midget.

                          Re: BSA means.

Tools always greasy and oily from working on British iron. Usually the screwdrivers had burn marks where they were used to short across electrical terminals. (remember that Lucas was the "Prince of Darkness")
