Duke,in reference to questions you asked on my previous thread concerning my AFB: carb #3461S, prim. jets measured .104, sec. .069., unable to read #s on the jets. Metering rods read 16P-98 also a "C" enclosed in a circle, assuming this is a Carter designation.Air Horn 6-1518. I understand the rods are supposed to be .060/.069.Do these rods #s correspond to the correct dimensions? The car is running well. Thanks for any help.

the carb is slightly richer on the pri.
the area of the .104 jet is .008494859,the rod areas are .068=.003631678,.055=.002375827,.060=.002827431,.0 69=.003739277. subtract the rod area from the jet area and you can calculate the % difference in richness on the lean and rich stop. you can do the math- Top

Re: AFB/Duke W.
Bowl cover number is correct for a 3461S. What Clem said on the installed rods.
OEM 3461S specifictions:
Primary jets .104 (120-4040
Secondary jets .0689 (120-228)
Metering rod .060/.069 (16-389)
Your installed rods would be slightly richer on both sides. If it runs okay leave it alone unless you want to play.
I expect the circle C means "Carter".
