    Prices

Been watching Barrett-Jackson this afternoon. Some of the prices on the Corvettes seem downright reasonable. I am hoping the '59 big brake car goes to the stratosphere though. : )

On the cars that are reasonable? You might not want to look at them closely....remember the guys who live under rocks?..........

      Re: Prices

Even if not perfect, I am assuming that cars going through Friday and Saturday afternoon at Barrett are better than most you'd see at other auctions or out of a Hemmings ad.

Where are the perfect cars being sold? I haven't seen one yet.

      p.s. Nice post Mr. Coenen!

But FI solid axle cars apparently aren't in high demand at B-J.

              Nope

              Not at all.

The $80-100k range for the FI cars that went through tonight are exactly where I'd expect them to be in the "real" world.

The prices for some of the midyears, including the $200k 67, are higher than I would have expected and higher than last year.

There doesn't seem to be the same amount of demand. I would have expected $125k for solid axle fuel cars, especially the big brake one.

                A 62 FI car sold for 125k on Thursday night. A 62 non-FI car sold for 100k!

C2's seem to have gone up quite a bit from last year

                    Re: Nope

Corvette's are down in price. If you are optimistic you can say flat. FI cars are definetly out of favor. BJ auctioneers are working WAY TO HARD to get money bid on Corvettes.

All you guys with big money cars should have sold last year. Let's see how much trouble Dana Mecom has selling Corvettes next week in Florida to the captive Corvette audience. I'll bet it will be tough to get the long money!

What would one expect to pay for a original, clean, no damage drive able number matching 327-350hp, 4speed coup

anyone notice any '54s going through?

I was wondering what an unrestored mostly original might be going for now.

Apparently the big brake car wouldn't start. That helps explain the low price on that one.

                            Mark -

A white '54 went through last night for $100K. Check out the link below for what has sold and the winning bids (refresh it occasionally to keep up with the action on the block).
