What a wreck! As mentioned in the previous thread, the colors depend on the color of the car/interior. White with a red hub is so pouplar because all '53s, and most 54 & many 55's were Polo White.

The hub in your picture is for a passenger car, notice the spokes are flat not pointed like the wheel.

IMHO...I'd try to find another one, this one looks pretty far gone.

Thank you for the information. Yeah, the wheel is a wreck, so it's going to take me twice the time, but that's why it's a hobby, so I see it in the bag already... You're right, the cut up hub in the picture is from a pass car because the spokes are flat, I am only using the center ring to splice into the wheel. I cut it all up today, and will hopefully be able to get it welded on Monday. Maybe buy the end of the week, with a little luck, it will look like a real wheel again.

How is it a car wheel? Your showings are a Corvette , the bottom area is flat not the top area ,and you must know a car wheel is larger then a Corvette , so just measuring it would tell you that. I've seen many 54's over the 45 years I remember seeing a vett with a red out side and white inside. So what is the question???

I was referring to the hub on the right of the first picture as being from a pass. car. You'll note it show the top side of the hub with flat spokes.
