Was wondering what this delco part number fits. It's a coil type fan clutch. I own a 70 LS5. Thanks

Re: Fan Clutch Part Number 22008668
Mark------
I can find no record, at all, of any GM or Delco part with the part number "22008668". I think that this must be some sort of aftermarket manufacturer's ID number, even if the part is packaged currently in a Delco box. If this is the number on the Delco box, then it's some very recent Delco parts system-only part number and very likely is an aftermarket-type part packaged in a Delco box.
It is possible that it's functional for your application, but I can't verify that since I don't know what it is. However, the chance that it's correct in terms of configuration for your application is just about nil.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Fan Clutch Part Number 22008668
Mark, Your fan clutch fits Oldsmobile-engined vehicles. It replaced #559729 in January, 1985 and was itself replaced in August, 1985, by #22049774. I don't know what the original usages for #559729 were or what #22008668 was used on in it's brief seven month life. But #22049774 fits various full size and intermediate Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, and Buick models from 1976 to 1990, with 260, 307, 350, and 403 Olds gas engines as well as 350 diesel models. The most interesting application for #22049774 is 1978 Trans Am with the 403 Olds, A.C. and heavy duty cooling. Your #22008668 will probably fit and function fine on most of these same vehicles although it may differ in appearance.
