It's a hobby for me. I don't drive a lot but I also don't own a trailer. Heck my 1967 has even been to the dragstrip. But with a 327/300 and Powerglide the results were....not impressive.

I,m with you guys. I bought my 66 convertible in 1980 for 4500 bucks because it had a state issued vin. Did a frame on resto in 1982, bought some original and some repop parts, and have been driving the wheels off it ever since. When lead disappeared from gas I took the 327-350 hp motor out and put in a mild 350, made to look original, and kept going. After a lot of road trips and road rash, it will soon need another repaint, but by golly it still rolls out and runs often and wanders far. Bet I still don't have $10,000 in it and everyone thinks my Corvette is as good as the ones at the BJ auction. Larry

I drive all of mine (currently 4). The '66 went on the Caravan to Nashville and Bowling Green in 2003, and has been to Carlisle a couple times. I drive the '57 every chance I get, also. Both these cars have been driven to work (luckily I have secure parking beneath the building I work in). Of course, the two '04s get the majority of the drive time. I guess, you could say it's a hobby AND a passion!!!!

Drove my 67 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible to the car show in Pueblo this weekend. The 67 L-79 Vette did'nt make the cut. Pete Chaourphis (wrong spelling) of SO-CAL Speed Shop judged all the cars and picked the best 100 in Southern Colo. Very cool show. Point is we're right next to the Continental Divide. Snowed like crazy yesterday even the plow guys waved as we limped along. Made it to Pueblo, an hour clean-up. Their it sits. If your in So Colo. stop by. Saw very nice light blue 59 Vette and what looks like a 61 Drag Vette. Little bit of everything. After B-J, I refuse to let em sit in a garage. Get em out even in winter. It's just a car.

Yes that is Luskville. That was one of our Club days at the track in 2004. We do 2-3 of those days per year. And FWIW my time was 15.9@86mph. If I remember correctly the C5 was 13.5@108mph.
