I agree Mike, a buyer can start out wanting the item, but then it turns into more about wanting to win. It must be nice to be able to afford to bid on an item you want with no real limit in mind. I'm jealous...

I've been told by one of the sellers he's from

Germany. Not that it matters. He got into Corvairs a little over a year ago. If you want some interesting reading on crazy auctions, look at his "items won" history.

Hi Mike... He lives in the northeast, not far from Washington D.C. Was deep into Corvettes for a few years but switched to Camaro, then Corvair. It's just a hobby for him and his daytime job has nothing to do with the automotive industry. His job title contains nine words, 15 if you count words like "for, and, the and of's". Interesting person.

Wonder if he'd like to bid on this Lt-1 powered Corvair I've got sitting here? LOL. Guy has 100% approval on transactions. He sure runs things up until he gets it. He doesn't LOSE either as far as I know.
