Delmo's racers sold?

Both Delmo Johnson's '62 racer and '63 (primary) racer were on the block at the Russo and Steele auction in Scottsdale last weekend.

I can't find sales price results on their web site as yet.

Does anyone know if they sold and for what?

The R & S preauction estimates were over a million for each.

Duke, the 63 did not sell and heard that it was bid to around 900K

I talked to them yesterday and they said it would be posted in a couple of days. Could not get any info on any car that sold.

On Sunday AM, both cars carried a

"Still for sale" notice; the 62 recited a high bid of 950K and a price of 1.22M
and the 63 recited a high bid of 900K and a price of 1.22M. Not being there, it's hard to guess where the real $$ stopped, but if you bought a car in August for 350K and were offered 900K in January, would it still be yours?
