    65 Dash harness ??

Where do the 2 white plastic push-in pins imbedded into the dash harness snap into behind the gauge cluster. Do they snap into the dash itself underneath the dash pad. Mine were not connected when I took the old harness out of my car. Thanks Dick Gutman

    Re: 65 Dash harness ??

    Dick,

I can specify exactly where, but I believe that they are designed to snap into holes on the back of the cluster itself or the dash cross-member, either place apparently intended to support the weight of the dash harness and prevent strain on connections or cause lights/etc to pull out of socket locations over time from vibration.

    Hope this helps.

      Dick -

Those two plastic retainers snap into two small holes in the back of the cluster can, near the top.

Thanks John: That makes sense. There is no evidence where these clips go in my 65 AM, but I see them in my 67 AM. I guess I will need to look at both from now on. Dick Gutman
