Your pipes should NOT be square cut. The 61-62 tailpipes are cut on a bevel parallel to the ground and extend beyond the fenders. I had a 61 245 hp that way and the exhaust gases caused some serious rust on the rear crossmember. The crossmember had to be replaced! This was a California Corvette owned by a litytle old lady school teacher who drove it very little. Mike Pillsbury sold it to me and it was one darned neat little car. Really fun to drive!

Yes Sir: The car is in Texas in the hands of a very knowledgable NCRS judge and I'm sure he and the Mrs. still love it.
