This is a question in regards to my Jan. 65 corvette dash. I removed my entire dash a year ago and since redyed it. In its removal there looks to be evidence of some type of adhesive? or whatever on the center furthest bottom passenger side only. The glue adhesive is only on the body portion. On the pass. side of the 2 wings of the body transmission tunnel to center this part of the dash. This area is of course below the radio, surrounded by the center console. Should there be some type of anti-rattle or?? adhesive in this area securing this portion of dash to body? Curious! Thanks Dick Gutman

Dick,
There is supposed to be some type of adhesive applied in that location. The Assembly Manual should specify type/amount. I did not replace the adhesive after restoring my dash and haven't had any significant "rattle" problem since.

The back side of the bottom of the main dash was bonded to the front of the locating "hump" on top of the tunnel with bonding adhesive when the dash panel was installed.Comment
