    1965 Battery Replacement

I'm trying to change a dead battery in my '65 coupe (327/300 with air, power steering and power brakes). The battery seems to be locked in by the master cylinder and the rod that comes through the firewall to the clutch. Am I missing something or is there some disassembly needed to get the battery out?

Have to unbolt the special battery ...

removeable panel that bolts to the inner fender, and pull forward through the left wheel well [not upwards and out as you would with a non-air car (battery on passenger side)]. Sounds weird but that's how C60 or L78 batteries come out.

I have removed the battery in my 67 C2 w/ A/C( drivers side), by dropping the clutch rod(easier) D/
