struggling with the search function

I'm trying to find an old post that I know I made at least one comment on. I figured the easiest way would be to search my own posts, but regardless of what I do to the blocks on the search page, I only get 14 of my posts.

Also, trying to manually look back through previous pages, it'll let me go through 3 pages, then when I hit the 4, I get "no searches meet your criteria" and can't go any farther.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi Norris, I clicked on your profile and am very impressed/jealious with your collection. I noticed that the profile page notes only 15 posts, must include the one above! I also you stated that your membership has lapsed over the years. Did you always use the current profile name in the past or a different "handle"? Try using search function in the Archives for prior year posts. I see the search feature in the Discussion Board section says you can search back through 31 December 1990, but I recall the search feature while in the Discussion Board section only going back 90 or 120 days!?!?

I'm not sure all this ole' junk is worth bein' impressed over, but I AM glad I bought a bunch of old cars back when they were affordable.

I can't figure the reason that the search only pulls up 14 posts, because I'd guess I've done more than that this month. As far as the dues lapsin', the last time I forgot to send it in was probably 3 or 4 years ago, and I renewed for 5 years then so it wouldn't happen again. (I don't recall ever seeing a renewal notice and usually just start wonderin' why I haven't been gettin' the Driveline and Restorer) The other question on the handle..... this is the only one I've ever used. I'd be surprised if I haven't posted 50 times or more in the last 90 days.

Anyhow, tonight all the highlights of my previously read posts are gone all of a sudden, so my computer and the board here aren't getting along very well for some reason.

Any other suggestions on what's wrong with my search function?

I just tried the search under "Norris6139" here's the results:

You'l notice its only showing 17 BUT lists 2,530 messages. So their out there somewhere.

I just tried searching in Archive 2 (February 9, 2002 - March 30, 2004) https://www.ncrs.org/forum/archivesearch2.htm
I got 88 posts.

You might want to try the other ones and see what you get.
