Does anyone know of a source for a good reproduction P/S hose set for a 69 or are all the current one just a service replacement type. Paragon states right in their cataloge that the ends are a replacemnt type so now I'm wondering if anyone makes a correct repro. Thanks.

The last time I checked, GM hoses were still configured virtually identical to the originals (I don't know about the codes and printing, though). All of the hoses are available from GM except the big block pressure hose (pump to valve). The GM hoses, though, are WAY more expensive than aftermarket---about $275 list for all 4 hoses. Whether they are EXACTLY the same as the originals or not, they are the closest thing out there. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Two comments:
1. I'd be surprised if the current GM hoses are any different, at all, than other replacements. With all the other parts consolidation, it doesn't seem too practical for GM to still have "special" hoses. I may be incorrect, but...
2. I've never yet taken or seen taken points for replacement power steering hoses.

The GM p/s hoses are different than aftermarket. They are not a lot different, but they are different. The GM hoses have the "ribs" (for all except return hose) while many aftermarket hoses are very often "smooth". Also, the crimps on the GM hoses are quite a bit different than the aftermarket. The last set of GM hoses that I bought had crimps that are identical to the original hoses. Whether they still are, I do not know.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
