Checked the archives and found some good inf. My 70 conv. original back seat foam is one piece with a cutout for the front trim and a slit at the back for the release mechanism.
The replacement foam is two pieces.(one large front and a smaller top rear piece) Do people glue these together? The new foam is much thicker and it's difficult to mate with the rear piece so the frame is covered by foam.
Should I also cut out the new foam,(like the original) to ease the front trim installation? My old foam looks good. Has that nice shape to the top. Will the new foam get to look the same over time? Thinking of using the old upper foam. Any suggestions? Thanks Dennis
