C-3 Delco Ignition coil

Does anyone know where I can get an AC Delco coil for a 1968 SB 350 HP, non TI. I don't really care if it is the correct #, just want an AC Delco. I understand they stopped making them.

Lots of options for you. First of all, as far as I know, the coil you are after is still available from GM and Delco dealers. It's GM #12337166 which GM lists for about 60 bucks. It's also known as Delco #U505; about 30 bucks from Delco dealers.

The above-referenced coil is not configured exactly like the original, but, apparently that's fine with you. This coil is not an "embossed number" coil and I don't think that it even still has the Delco script on the top (very early examples did, but I don't think they have it anymore). Once-upon-a-time, this coil was manufactured in Japan. Now, I believe it's made in Mexico. That does not make it bad, though. LOTS of GM parts are now foreign-manufactured. As I've said before, Delco is no longer a manufacturing entity---it's a marketing entity ONLY.

Another option is the new GM Restoration Parts reproduction coil that's come on the market in the last year, or so. These are very close to the originals, all new, and are not all that expensive (about 100 bucks, I think).

Another option is a Goat Hill Products reproduction coil. These coils use a reproduction "can", all new "inerds", and a restored top cap. They look very good, too. Of course, there have been reported "delivery problems" with this vendor, so beware of that.
