If you show a '62 at a NCRS meet with ca. plates should you have a pcv valve? Thanks Terry

Terry, Just Because A '62 May Be...
...currently registered in CA, would not necessarily indicate it was born there. My answer would be, unless you are displaying a CA born window sticker, there would be no point deduction if it was packing a road draft tube. And, I believe any '62 Corvette could have a PCV system regardless of the state it was originally delivered. It was simply a $5.40 option that anyone could order if they so wanted, but CA bound cars had to spend those extra bucks. Best, Dennis- Top

Terry------
Only if the car was an original California-delivered car. I don't think that license plates are judged or in any way affect the "presumption" of where the car was originally delivered. For example, a car originally delivered somewhere besides California could have later been re-registered in Califonia or it could just be displayed with California plates.
Actually, and obviously, no car was ever "factory original" with license plates. They were added after delivery. However, as far as I know, no judging penalty is extracted for showing a car with plates. I could be wrong about that, though. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C-1 pvc valve
Maybe they won't deduct for the license plate, but we were hit for 1 point in Park City for having the original dealer installed license plate frame. It was on the car when my wife bought it new (88 35th Anniv.), but the judges said it didn't come from the factory that way (true) so we were hit for the point. Still got the McLellan award though.
