C2 Radio Slider Bar

The AM/FM selector slider bar fit over the little tab shaft that controls AM or FM selection on my 66 radio is loose and the slider bar almost falls off when sliding the bar up or down to change the radio band. One of the two center tangs is broken off the pot metal slider and only one tang remains. The radio works fine. Any suggestins on how to tighten up this fit? The broken tang doesn't appear to affect the slider bar action when changing between bands.

you might try a product like JB Weld. i believe i've seen the slider bars available as repo's . good luck, mike

I don't think that you want to use JB weld here -- slider must come off to disassemble radio.
