Testing Spark Plug Wires. (Ohm Readings)

What would be considered good or correct if you are measuring the resistance of a spark plug wire? Is there a standard ohm rating per foot of wire? I know better wires will have a lower ohm reading. I'm interested in the ohm value for the "stock" GM wires. (1963-1967 Big Block or Small Block) What is a good value, and at what value should I think about replacing the wires? Thanks

3000-5000 ohms per foor of length is close to the OEM spec.

      Ken,

You need to use one of those 9 volt VOM. I found that the 1 1/2 volt VOM meters sometimes won't give you any ohm reading at all.
