    C1 Paint Procedure

What was the paint procedure for the 1959? Was the doors on the car and shut when the body was painted letting the over spray go into the space between the doors and body? Thanks Jimmy

Jimmy: Doors, Hood, Trunk Lid, Cowl Vent &...

...Convertible top lid were all in place during body paint. All of these items were opened up at some point during the paint process to paint the jambs, lips, interior, whatever. The doors did not remain closed with the hope that overspray through the "cracks" would paint the door jambs and pillars. Best,
    Dennis
