    67 bolt on wheels

Can some one tell me how long have they been reproing 67 bolt on option wheels, 26 years ago at Pomona Ca. I bought a set with red line tires for $300.00 , tires are gone but the wheels are still on my 67. How do you tell original wheels??Thanks

Re: 67 bolt on wheels a long long time

I would say 30 years easy. Orig wheels use regular lug nuts repos use mag wheel style lug nuts. The very early repos have a diamond shape logo stamped in them its very small Phil 8063

        Nice car in the Sierra's

        Roy,

Is that a Ponderosa to the right. Nice car, great color, is it a big block? Only kidding, I know. You ought to show that one in Flagstaff.

        Best regards,

Also on the back side of the wheels will have 16 reinforcing rids, 8 per side. Also they should have KH markings on them but am not sure. If you find that they are real and would like to sell them please let me know.
          Regards,

Steve, the old saying "be careful what you wish for..." could apply here. There was a '67 in FL last week with 4 like new O.E. (not NOS) bolt ons. Heard that they cost the owner $4,000 a corner!! But, I don't want to give Roy any ideas.

I would like a set but if that is the going rate then I will consider repops.

I think Roy you got the real deal, if we only had a way back machine, Pomona 20 years ago.

I have never seen repos that use regular lug nuts, glad you kept them!! The logo is small and stamped on the back and looks like this (only closed) sometimes there are three letters stamped inside it. Have you checked the lettering on the back of the center caps, to see if they are factory installed type or GM over the counter,if factory Steves going to paid alot more (LOL) Phil 8063
