George,
I don't know about some other guys, but I don't like looking "un-cool" in my Corvette. And driving around with three knock-offs and a steel rim (probably with no hubcap) would qualify in my opinion. Besides, who wants to beat a trail back to the garage instead of resuming a cruise?
I think I'd use a steel rim until I could find a good used repro knock-off as a spare, and you can find them "cheap" enough. It's already a hassle just getting out of traffic and changing a spare at who-knows-where, let alone removing an adaptor. TBarr #24014
