    Andy-----

Automatic transmission fluid (Dexron type) can be used in 63-82 Corvette power steering systems. However, it's better to use fluid which is specifically formulated for power steering applications. Specifically formulated fluid provides better seal protection and also helps minimize system noise. After all, you don't need to use much of this fluid initially and, if your system is right, you won't need to add much as time goes on. So, why not do things perfectly right?

    I recommend using GM #89020661.

      Andy,

I agree with Joe. Power steering fluid is formulated for this application. It probably has a formula that minimizes "aeriation" and therfore noise suppression.
