    window crank lock clip

What is the correct direction for the lock clip installation on the window crank handle. Open or closed end of clip toward handle. Thanks ED

either way will work but i usually aim the open end toward the handle so as to make for ease of removal with my plier-type clip remover. if you have the push-style clip remover, then aim the clip closed end toward the handle, again to facilitate clip removal. mike

Most of the interior handles for all GM cars and trucks were made at the GM plant in Trenton, NJ. The slots were broached and clips installed on a rotary table machine. The broach moved towards the shank and the clip was installed from the same direction, thus the open end was towards the shank.
