66 bb intake throttle spring bracket

What color is the throttle spring clip? Orange overspray or natural? I have all the books but not with me so don't tell me what page it is on. I never got that anyway...someone ask a question and you go through the trouble of looking it up, posting, but not answering the question. THanks everyone. Bill#44207

It should be natural.

Bill,

The mask that was placed over the intake manifold was inboard of the bracket so, typically, the outboard side of the bracket received a pretty healthy coat of orange paint. Parts of the tabs that are used for attachment also were hit, especially the forward location. The inboard surface would be anywhere from zero paint to a medium mist coat.

You may be correct, my car was "clear" of overspray or was just detailed.

I have a few beautiful original examples here somewhere and if I can find them, I'll scan and post the pic's. Interesting how they differ from one to another. Both have heavy coats on the outboard side but only one has any orange at all on the inboard side. I suppose there were many subtle differences on this paint coverage from one car to another.
