battery disconnect

I have a 1987 and want to put on a battery disconnect. Do they make one that disconnects the battery but still lets the computer run? In not will hurt my computer to use a regular disconnect.

Paul,

They do makes disconnects that have a fused bypass circuit that will save the memory in your computer. A complete disconnect will require you to re-set all your electrical devices which can be a real pain.

Better idea, put a float charger on it for the non use period and leave in car. You will need to use that anyways even with battery disconnected.
