Can anyone describe the differences between a Delco D530 and a D504A coil? Both numbers are listed at different parts houses for a 1979 Corvette. I have a NOS D530 that also has what I believe is the GM # 1985473 on the box and would like to use it if it is the right part. Thanks in advance for any help.
The Delco D530, aka GM #1985473, will SERVICE your application perfectly and was once catalogued by GM for your application. It is now discontinued and replaced by the Delco D504A, aka GM #12498335.
