    Placement of white tiewraps for Windshield washer.

    Help... I understand there are five white tie wraps to hold the windshield wiper hose. Could somebody please tell or better yet show me via photo or diagram the exact location of these 5 white tie wraps. I looked in Nolands book only to find three identified...really need to get this correct.

    Thanks...

      Please include in the subject line what model year Corvette your post refers to.
      For more general questions, you may use the series designation of
      C1=1953-62, C2=1963-67, C3=1968-82, C4=1984-96, C5=1997+.
      This would not apply to general posts.

        There is only 3 on a 67.

        2 with the wiring harness and 1 special. And I think they are all black. The 63 AIM should call them out for your year.

            collin: the 63 vettes left st louis with anywhere from 3 to 6 ties. they were NOT white as the current repos are. rather, they had a light yellow tint, not milk white like the current repos. originals also had mfgr #'s that differed in size and actual # than the currently available repos. mike

                Do you think any changes may have occurred when these soft injection molded plastics aged and were heat soaked in an oily hydrocarbon rich environment? Brand new ones I have are a translucent White. Used ones are Yellowed.

                  geof: i went to the garages and checked the original ties on our four 63's and 3 64's. i was mistaken when i stated previously that the 63-4 t ties were numbered. they are not numbered( as you state your repo aren't either). i believe i was thinking of the black(65-67) ties when i posted the # issue.i don't have a sample of your 63-4 ties to compare to the originals regarding color differences but i do have a sample from Dave Walters(bought in early 80's) and a set from Long Island ( bought in the mid-90's). both dave and richie's repos are much more translucent than the used originals. i suppose the originals, when brand new, may have been more translucent than they are today. maybe we should take a set of repos and expose them to atmospheric pollutants, heat and 45 years of just hanging out under a midyear hood.regards, mike
