I am restoring my 68 Coupe and am to the point of replacing the underbody support plates. I have bought some after market seat belt supports, but won't use them unless I have to. The replacements came in Black Phosphate finish, but
what I have taken off my 68 that was made in February 68 seems to have been finished in white cad or Zinc plating? Does anyone know what is correct?
I know the hood latches are supposed to be in Black Phosphate, but what about the other plates and supports? The Number 4 metal supports seem to have been painted in chassis type Black paint as you would expect.
Thanks for any help on this.
