I have a Harrison aluminum radiator in my '61 with the following part number. I suspect that it is a later replacement. Can someone provide more detail?
I can't find any radiator ever used on a Corvette of GM #3150896. The early 1961 top tank radiator was GM #3151116 from the very beginning and continuing until it was discontinued without supercession. The later 1961 aluminum radiator was GM #3150916 from the very beginning until it was discontinued without supercession.
Funny, but I had the same feeling about that number as I could not find it anywhere in my listings. But it is without a doubt an aluminum Harrison crossflow radiator that looks exactly correct for a '61-'62 (the type requiring an overflow tank). The numbers are very legible and are cast into the upper hose neck. The Harrison tag is missing but there are two drilled holes where it would have been rivited in place. Add yet another page to the book of strange exceptions!
Numbers cast into the upper radiator hose fitting are very likely the part number for the casting ONLY and NOT the part number for the complete radiator. The casting was a part that was never available seperately, only as part of the radiator assembly.
