Have alternator pn 1100693, what's it for?
Date code 5B9 with 37A rating, is it for the 65 C2?

This would relate to '68 Corvette, both 300hp and 400hp. The date code does not seem to agree with that year?

I believe the 1100693 - 37A was available starting in 1965 on the base engine (327) as well as the 66 327, 67 327 & 427 and 68 327 and 427.

5B9 is February 9, 1965; if that's prior to your car's final assembly date by no more than six months, you're in business. The 693 was the base alternator from '65-'68.
