it's the original rochester for this 57 pass car. rochester 4520. block ,heads , cr tranny, and differential original also. note the electrovac that all 57 pass car fi's(except the Dedco Black Widows) were equipped with since they all had to have vac operated windshield wipers.just finished body off on this old girl.its a late May Atlanta 57 and lived its life in No Carolina. mike

Re: Do you mean one that looks like this one?

Mike..what is the FI unit # and the stamp pad suffix..if you care to share that info.

My George Moore / Eb Rose 54 Corvette..has a 4360 unit and a SEDCO EK block..I would have to check but I think the unit in the 54 is about #1521

In Smokeys book..he talks about getting Vince Piggins the head SEDCO job..even after someone else was first given the job. He goes to Detroit to renew his expired contract ..and after waiting a day and a half to meet with Ed Cole..he gets Pissed off..calls his friend at Ford and signs a three year lucrative contract.

I would love to find more pictures of the 56/57 Corvettes at Smokeys shop and also at the SEDCO shop..or at the SEDCO Atlanta Nalley Chevrolet dealership.

I have an extra set of SEDCO 539 heads...that came with the George Moore / Eb Rose car.

Mike..Thanks..it is a real dandy. At Kissimmee..I met the guy that owns the 57 Blackwidow #47 that raced at Daytona.

I would like to know what happened to the 6 or so real blackwidow cars that came out of SEDCO. They seem to have disappeared!

If we can figure out what the Egyptians did 5000 years ago..why is it so difficult to figure out what Chevy did 50 years ago?

what happened to the Sedco Black Widows? The arachnid manufacturer, lately of Lubbock texas, is reconsitutuing said widows. seriously, i've looked at 4 57's purported to be real widows and none of the 4 had the hard to find parts that the real widows had. mike
