Dash cluster knobs and switches??

Have any of you bought a repo. wiper switch? Paragon has them. How is the fit and look? I am going to try and rebuild this wiper switch. Have any of you opened up your switches and fixed them? I opened up and fixed my headlight dimmer switch yesterday. The replacement switch from my local jobber would not allow one of the original screws to be used, so I rebuilt the original. Some of my knobs on my cluster and center dash have oxidation on them. I used my Dremel tool with the buffing wheel and Eastwoods polishing compounds on them. They turn out quite decent but you can see on the surface some aging though shiny. I am tmepted to just order all new repo. switches and knobs, But this is a restoration. Comments Appreciated! Replacement knobs do not have a small "spade" as in "ace of spades" marking on them. The judges look for this mark as authenticity of original knobs.

Thanks Steve. I tried to rebuild/restore the internals of my wiper switch but threw in the towel. The wear of the internal contacts were beyond hope. It looks like all three cluster switches will be replaced, but I will keep all the knobs throughout the car. Dick Gutman
