Like test pilots on 4 wheels..with practically no brakes!

Black Widows were 150 2dr. sedans. No Bel Airs or convertables.

Ken..you are right.

However..my personal description includes all the 57 FI Chevies prepared for NASCAR by Vince Piggins and his group at SEDCO and Nalley Chevrolet with Smokey Yunick built engines that were then Widowed when Bill France Sr. the founder of NASCAR ruled out fuel injection.

The name did stick with the 150 bare bones no back seat black utility sedan...many of which started life as 3 spd on the column six cylinder cars transformed by SEDCO into NASCAR ready fuel injected EK block winners...with six bolt hubs..and other upgrades as detailed in the 1957 Chevrolet Stock Car Competition Guide.
