    Mac -

Front ride height is measured by spring height; the two points to measure are shown in the Chassis Service Manual and in the Assembly Manual (in UPC 3, Front Suspension). You take the dimension from the center of the front inner pivot bolt for the front lower control arm to ground, and from the bottom of the lower ball joint housing to ground; the difference between those two should be about 2-1/2" (Service Manual dimension). I don't have a '69 A.I.M., but it will show the "As Shipped" and "curb" dimensions.

thanks john, i'll take a look at this tomorrow. i'm finishing up a project that was started by someone else. they installed new springs, front and rear, when they did the chassis. i've got the body on now and it seems to be setting as much as 2 to 3 inches high, but the only reference i have is my 68 with the original springs which i'm sure is somewhat low. i've got spec's on a 63 and they give hight measurements from several locations on the body. i was hoping there was something like that around for a C3.

Mac, it will take a while for the suspension to settle after it has been reassembled. Make sure the front control arm bushing bolts are loose and allow the car to settle before tightening them. Fill the radiator, fuel tank, etc to weight the car.
