Does anyone know what the fix is to prevent the lighter from poping out of the receptical when it finishes heating?

Re: 63 cig. lighter
there are a couple(2 or 3) "fingers" inside the female socket of the lighter. remove the socket, bend the finger towards the center of the socket and see if that cures the problem. nothing worse than pushin in the lighter and have it sail back into your crotch , unexpectedly, half way thru the 1/4 mile.mike- Top

Re: 63 cig. lighter
Jim - Sounds like you have the BIG BLOCK version of the lighter. As Mike indicated, the receptacle will have 2 or 3 fingers (if it's the original style, it will have 3) also the lighter element should be a 63 CASCO. The metal of the fingers tends to fatigue after years of use. Bending them in might work for a while but if the fingers are burned or brittle your best bet will be to replace the receptacle. Also, if the lighter and receptacle aren't the original pieces or if it's some other combination, it will probably be a challenge to get it to work "right." Good luck. Pete- Top
