C3: Original interior color - how do you tell?

I'm looking at a '71 convertible that has a trim tag stating blue vinyl. The car has black leather and there isn't any documdentation to tell when or if a change occured. Are there any places to look that will show overspray or other tell-tale signs of the original ingterior color?

Have cars been recorded that left the factory with different interiors than listed on the tt?

Look for signs of dye,especially at places that would be difficult to do. Most that have an interior color change have parts that are dyed and not changed out.
